Floorplan

Zelda’s Veranda

This enclosed balcony is named in honor of the wife of author F. Scott Fitzgerald. The nearby town of Tryon, North Carolina was a favorite destination for Scott, and while visiting the area, Zelda and her sister would often attend square dances here in Saluda.

Charleston Room

Named for the oldest city in South Carolina, this largest room at Lola’s pays tribute to the rich history and charming architecture of that city. The paint colors in this room, as well as the other rooms in the venue space—are drawn from the “Colors of Historic Charleston” palette.

Walterboro Room

Situated in the lowcountry of South Carolina, this small city was named in honor of a pair of brothers who were among its first settlers. One of its prominent families began visiting Saluda in the mid-1900s and still regularly occupies their property in our small town.

Holly Hill Room

One family from this tiny town in South Carolina came regularly to Saluda to enjoy is cool clime and its popular square dances. One of the family daughters even married a Saluda native and made our small town her permanent home.

Savannah Room

The oldest city in Georgia, the city of Savannah is known for its elegant historic district and its numerous beautiful parks. Wealthy families from Savannah would often spend summer months in Saluda to escape the heat of coastal Georgia’s humid, subtropical climate.

Columbia Room

Located right in the midlands of South Carolina, this city serves as the state’s capital and the home of the University of South Carolina. Many wealthier residents of Columbia paid visits to Saluda throughout the 1900s, escaping the hubbub of their big city to enjoy the refreshing mountain air.
